Custom Work

Now taking new clients for 2020

I’m excited to announce for 2020 I opened my books to the public for commissioned work. Since 2017, I only entertained requests from past clients. This year I will be taking a limited amount of new clients as the custom process is very involved. I have one minor stipulation though—its for gold work only.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with my jewelry to get a sense for the type of work that I do. I am currently accepting all requests including engagement. If you have a hard time explaining what you’d like, please send photos when making references to particular features. Granulation, snake, thick band, type of stone etc.

For engagement requests, know that there are many alternative options to the traditional look, including types and cuts of stones. Some popular options for engagement rings are Traditional Diamonds, Salt and Pepper Diamonds, Sapphires (these come in a range of colors) and Moissanite. Moissanite is a beautiful alternative to a diamond. It has a higher refractive index compared to a diamond and has a ‘disco ball’ sparkle. I source all of my diamonds and diamond alternatives with ethics in mind.  Whatever your preference may be, I can work with you to build something that is truly unique and one-of-a-kind that will stand up to the test of time.

I work with yellow, rose and white gold for custom work. I will also entertain requests for mixed metal with gold and silver.

After submitting a request, I will read over your preferences and determine if your custom piece is something I’m able to work on and fit within the selected budget. If you are flexible, this will help with the approval process. Sometimes designs will need to be modified from the initial vision to fit within a budget. I will always use my knowledge in design to give suggestions on modifications that are aesthetically pleasing.

Spending days mapping out and designing a piece first, then proceeding to price it out almost entirely results in it being over budget. An estimate of your budget is required up front to submit a request so I can determine if your design ideas and budget are within range.

When submitting a request, please be financially ready to make the commitment at the time of the request. A deposit is required within 48 hours of approval to start a consultation for design. After the 10 day consultation period ends and you sign off on the final design, the remaining balance will be due within 48 hours. Please also read my shop policies (specifically the custom work section) before submitting the form below.
